Project Overview
As the contracted graphic designer for UVA Health, I played a pivotal role in creating the branding for the "My Start" program—a welcoming initiative designed to acclimate new employees, fostering a sense of belonging and growth within UVA. This encompassed tasks ranging from crafting the program's logo to designing presentations and illustrations.
Design Concepts and Inspiration
The goal was to ensure the My Start branding seamlessly adhered to UVA guidelines while maintaining a distinctive identity. Keeping the same font was paramount. I created clean illustrations with an engaging and joyful aesthetic to achieve this, making the MyStart program logo uniquely its own.
Balancing the seriousness of UVA with the lighthearted touch of MyStart posed a challenge. Through constant feedback and collaboration, I navigated this balance successfully, resulting in a positive impact, particularly among recruits.
Collateral and Visual Elements
I created a comprehensive suite of materials, extending beyond the MyStart logo. This encompassed a vibrant array of collateral, including but not limited to brochures, banners, and digital assets. The visual elements, such as illustrations and patterns, were thoughtfully incorporated into presentations, creating a cohesive and immersive experience for the audience.
